We are open by  appointment ONLY, so the first thing you need to do is set up an appointment time.
Give us a call or email us with the dates & times you have in mind. We do appointments days, evenings and
weekends. Tell us what is good for you and we will try to accomodate your schedule. If for any reason you
need to change your date and/or time, please
call us as soon as possible, especially if you have a weekend
appointment.

How long is a consultation and is there any cost? Your first consultation is FREE of charge and is for up
to one hour. If you should request additional appointments, you will be charged as follows: 2nd appointment
for up to 1 hour = $25; 3rd appointment for up to 1 hour = $50; 4th appointment for up to 1 hour = $100.
Consultations requested over 4 times will be priced accordingly.

Will I receive a cake tasting? Yes, there will be samples for you to try. With all of our flavor choices, we
request that any specific flavor you would like to try to be requested at least 1 week prior to your appointment.
Up to 3 flavors may be requested and our most popular flavors will also be available for you to try.
*If you are a Colonial Hotel package, the Colonial hosts a tasting in February each year
during which we provide an assortment of samples for you to enjoy at that time.

When should I place my cake order?
As soon as you have your date and reception location, you are
welcome to come in and place your order to guarantee we can accomodate your date and delivery time.
Please check our available date list on this site, which we update weekly.  Keep in mind that May, June,
September and October are the most popular wedding months. Evening receptions always book up quickly
because of the small window of time that is available between day and evening time slots at most reception
halls. If you have an evening reception following another wedding at your hall, your vendors usually only have 1
hour at the most to set up after the first event finishes and the hall resets for the evening event.

Do you provide delivery? Yes. A nominal fee is charged according to the location of your reception hall to
cover our driving time and set-up time needed. Please see the delivery chart listed.

Can I pick up my cake instead of having it delivered? Yes. All of our cakes can be boxed to travel and
will include any instructions needed for assembly.

My dress has pearls on it. Can pearls be an option for my cake? Yes. Pearls are a beautiful addition for
your cake. Pearls can be added to almost any design and are available in white, ivory and many colors.
I want an outdoor summer reception. How long can my cake be left out? As with any perishable item,
heat & humidity will cause product breakdown. If the weather is hot on your wedding day, it would be best if
your cake can be placed in an air conditioned area and brought out by the caterer just prior to cutting the
cake. Your guests will understand if the cake is not on display the entire time because of the heat.

Can I have my wedding colors on the cake? If a swatch of your color(s) is provided, we will do our best to
match your sample. Please keep in mind that not all colors will look the same when done in frosting vs. a satin
material swatch. Color added by ribbon around your cake base or used to accent the flowers is a great way to
add a color to your cake.

What colors can I have my fountain water? While any color can be done in a fountain, clear water and
light colors work the best. There are lights in the base of the fountain, so to get that "lighted effect" it is easier
for light to shine through a pale color instead of a heavy dark color. Pastel blues, lavendar and pale greens are
very nice fountain colors.

I would like fresh flowers on my cake. You have a couple of options for this beautiful accent. We have a
florist whom we work with who can provide us with fresh flowers for your cake. If you would prefer to have your
florist provide your cake flowers, they may contact us and we can give them your cake size and set-up. We will
make every effort to work with your florist's schedule to have the cake at your hall before they arrive. If you are
having them arrange a wreath of greens and flowers around the base of the cake, we will be happy to give
them the diameter of the cake base so they can pre-arrange the cake table flowers and we will set the cake
inside the ring of flowers.Unfortunately, many florists charge a bride for the flowers to decorate the wedding
cake and cake table, but just leave them at the reception for someone to arrange. We have even received
calls from banquet halls for instructions on flower placement for the cake because even though the cake was
delivered prior to their arrival, the delivery person just left them next to the cake table with a note saying "cake
flowers". Because this is happening so much now, a floral arranging fee will be added to every order using a
florist for the cake flowers. If your florist does arrange your cake flowers, you will recieve that fee back. Please
realize that depending on the flower arrangement used for your cake with each stem being cut as they are
placed, flower and fern placement takes any where from 20 minutes to an hour for a large cascading cake
with a fountain.

What size table is best to display my cake? Your table should be large enough to have your cake, your
cake server and any floral accents around your cake base in place without looking crowded. If you are having
a fountain and/or table lights, please make sure your cake table is near a
working electrical outlet.

How much is my cake deposit? A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to reserve your date and
delivery time. We accept either cash, check or money order. We do not accept credit cards or debit cards.

When is my final count and payment due? We will send out a reminder postcard about 5 weeks before
your wedding. Your final guest count and payment is due 4 weeks prior to your wedding date.  Final payments
may be made by cash, check or money order. Any payments made after your due date will have a $25 late fee
added to your balance and must be paid by cash or cashier's check only.
No personal checks will be
accepted after your payment due date has passed.*** Please See Below

Can I bring in a picture of my parent's wedding cake and have it duplicated for my wedding?
Yes,
this is a wonderful way to bring a touch of  your parent's special day to your wedding day. We will duplicate
their cake as closely as possible and place the picture you provide to us next to your cake.

Can I bring in a picture from a bridal magazine? Yes, you may bring in clippings to show what cake style
you  have in mind. But also be aware that most cakes featured in photo spreads are not real, they are
styrofoam forms and NOT a real edible cake. ALL of the pictures on our website are real cakes that were at
actual receptions, which is a good representation of what can be done when creating a wedding cake. We will
create your cake as close as possible to your favorite picture, while using real cake instead of the pre-done
forms that are featured in most magazine photos. Keep in mind, just like the people you see in your favorite
magazines, cakes featured in bridal magazines have most likely been airbrushed to perfection.

Can I bring in a picture to be scanned on a party cake? Yes and No. If your picture is of a family member,
friend, your car, pet, etc. that you have taken, then yes, we can recreate it on a cake for you. We can not legally
reproduce a picture of a celebrity, cd cover or any other item or logo that has a trademark or copyright. We
can not copy a picture from a book, magazine or an internet site. We do keep many licensed characters in
stock, so call to see if we have what you are looking for.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us.
We look forward to working with you to create the cake of your dreams.
